Summary
As an Electronics Field Service Technician you will service, install and upgrade a variety of scanning systems for the wood processing industry, at customer sites around the globe.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a diploma, degree or trade qualification in the electronics/software field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Electronics troubleshooting skills
-
Competent in Windows OS and TCPIP networking

Hardware and software application knowledge
-
Machine vision, AI and x-ray experience (preferred but not required)

Knowledge of the Sawmill, Planermill and/or Plywood/OSB equipment (preferred but not required)

PLC knowledge and understanding (preferred but not required)

Ability to work effectively with customers

Able to cross international borders and travel extensively to customer locations in North America and overseas
Responsibilities
-
Respond and communicate effectively with customers, engineers and project managers to ensure customer requirements are understood and resolved

Required to provide 24/7 pager support coverage on rotation
-
Work irregular hours and overtime as required
-
Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of service calls and regular site visits to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards
