Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Supply Management, the Senior Buyer will be a member of the procurement team. We are looking for a dedicated individual to procure materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality, delivery and ensuring continuity of supply. This role will also include negotiating contracts and working closely with R&D on component design.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and award contracts to suppliers in order to support our Contract Manufacturers
  • Work closely with R&D during design cycle to review component cost and supply availability and lifecycle
  • Partner closely with Project Management team to supply costs for NPI thru GA product lifecycle for new projects
  • Receipt, management, and translation of SAP Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders
  • Obtain quotations from potential suppliers in order to identify best possible costs while ensuring lead time requirements are observed and maintained
  • Report generation, costed BOMS, and analysis of MRP
  • Build and maintain Supplier relationships
  • Monitor Contract Manufacturer relationship with the Program Management team:
  • Build plan review, helping with shortage resolution to meet required build dates
  • Assure that the March Networks Catalog is being adhered to
  • Manage and reconcile purchase price variance with Contract Manufacturers


  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Management/Purchasing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Buyer including business experience in OEM or Contract Manufacturing
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to ensure commitments are made and met, as well as, problems are resolved, escalated, and managed appropriately between March Networks and the Vendors/Customers
  • Ability to influence
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work, perform multiple tasks, and work under tight time constraints
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Agile
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
