Steel River Solutions is seeking experienced, hard-working individuals to fill an QA/QC Administrator position for an upcoming temporary project. Candidates must live in the Sparwood, BC area in order to be considered.

Key Job Duties:
Review and properly file QA/QC daily reports and documentation
Assist the QA/QC Lead with filing of Non-conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
Assess compliance with the applicable safety codes, procedures, relevant documentation, and commitments
Support the Quality Control Team in the maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs)
Assist in the creation, organization and filing of documentation to support the Quality team with document requests
Compile and maintain database of individual welders’ and coating applicators’ qualifications
Carry out daily weld mapping and update weld map database
Ensure the accuracy of quality documents by reviewing all incoming reports
Other tasks as assigned

Previous experience in a quality role in the Oil and Gas pipeline construction industry considered an asset
Reliable and strong work ethic, with an understanding of QA/QC principles
Ability to read and understand relevant construction documents including drawings, specifications, procedures, and codes of practice
High school diploma or equivalent; and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience, an asset
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal skills, listening skills, proven attention to detail, and ability to develop good working relationships

Working Conditions:
This position is field based and work is required within remote project locations around the Sparwood, BC area
Travel and/or living in temporary accommodations is required
The work schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off with 12 hours per shift
The project will run from August to November
Must be willing to work long hours outdoors
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
