The Sales Associate is responsible for supporting advisors and branch personnel in the servicing of current clients and the development of new clients. We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to fill this position. To be successful, the Sales Associate must be professional and attentive, while also being accurate. They should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. The Sales Associate must be comfortable with mutual fund, segregated fund, GIC, and Insurance products, confident with computers, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, somebody who is willing to go the extra mile for the company and the client; taking pride in one’s work.

Main responsibilities

Answering and responding to phone calls and e-mail communications
Ensure satisfactory resolution of client inquires, coordinating responses with other departments as necessary
Prepare documentation for transactions such as Purchase, Redemption, Switch, and Transfers for mutual fund, segregated fund, and GIC products.
Responsible for the completion of mutual fund, segregated Fund, and GIC processing by branch cut-off time.
Order paramedical evidence as required for Life Insurance Products
In force policy administration. Obtain in-force policy information and statements as needed by advisors and clients
Conduct a regular review of pending activity and outstanding business and escalate as required.
Prioritize and organization of workflow. Maintain and review documents prepared for accuracy.
Maintenance of Client Management Database.
Support advisors’ marketing initiatives with implementation and tracking as needed
Adhere to a high service level standard
Work in conjunction with compliance department to ensure compliance regulations are followed

Qualifications

High School diploma
Experience in the Financial Service industry
Hold the IFIC License and LLQP (an asset)

Specific knowledge

A strong knowledge of Investments products required. Have solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office. The position requires excellent communication skills and organization skills and a capacity to manage several tasks simultaneously.
