We currently have an opening for an Inside Sales Coordinator.

The successful candidate will have previously worked in a simliar role by contacting potential or lost customers to inform them about ZIM service to increase sales. The candidate will be a strong team player and want to give an excellent service at all times whilst able to multi-task and trouble shoot. In addition, the candidate will be able to communicate the resolutions to customers professionally while meeting the organizations predefined KPIs by generating sales and increase book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform outbound calls to potential and lost customers
  • Close sales and meet monthly sales goals in accordance with development plan
  • Qualify customers' sales potential and plan activities to increase book of business
  • Analyze relevant customers for targeted sales campaigns and build a work plan to increase sales
  • Communicate closely with trade and cross-functional teams on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges and opportunities
  • Manage the sales process with potential and lost customers to maximize short and long term results
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships with customers in the assigned portfolio
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell to existing customers
  • Enter and update customer information in the database

Skills and requirements:

  • Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the ocean shipping or related industry.
  • Complete fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • College degree or equivalent
