Reporting to the Director of Operations, the NOC Specialist will take ownership of monitoring, interrogating and remotely remediating any issues related to digital screens across North America. You will use our CMS and remote access applications (GoToAssist/Teamviewer) to remediate all issues and proactively monitor and ensure successful deployment of digital content on our screens. You will handle any and all diagnostic and troubleshooting to ensure solutions remain available and operational.

The hours of work are from noon to 8:00 pm. (Afternoon/Evening shift).

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an online connectivity of Rouge Media’s digital assets.
  • Act as the main IT support for field technicians. You will need to remotely connect and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations and peripherals.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Assess hardware, software and network needs to ensure effective and efficient computer
  • Other duties may be assigned

What you offer:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a university or college degree; IT technical certifications such as MCP, A+, Server +, MCTS, CCNA are an asset
  • NOC 2-3 experience in Out-of-home environment an asset
  • Expertise in IT network infrastructure operations and controls, ensuring the integrity of networks, servers, firewalls, and physical security of IT assets.
  • Experience with management and monitoring tools, Remote Desktop Services, Windows servers, VMWare is required.
  • Thorough understanding of WAN infrastructure (MPLS) with Hands-on experience with migration and IP standardization.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Azure or AWS cloud environment.
  • Maintain configuration management, business continuity and disaster recovery process in the event of an incident, including system backups and regular restore testing.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in routing, switching, security and wireless networking
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security industry best practices (e.g. SANS, NIST, CIS) to include: hands-on experience with cloud server administration, virtualization, networking and firewall configuration
  • Experience with management and monitoring tools, Remote Desktop Services, Windows servers, VMWare is required.
  • Bilingual in English and French - required
