The Licensed Practical Nurse – Health Care Aide (HCA) Supervisor ensures clients receive evidence-based care from competent HCAs and that care is planned and delivered consistently according to the AHS policies, procedures and Continuing Care Health Services Standards. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the HCA Supervisor has 4 key responsibilities: Staff supervision, mentorship and leadership. Client care coordination. Health Care Aid (HCA) education and competency tracking. Stakeholder relationship and community partnership. The HCA Supervisor must demonstrate their ability to: Implement and review practice standards, scheduling, clinical support and evaluation of staff. Demonstrate skills in problem solving, mentoring, interpersonal relationships, and organizational leadership. Implement changes in structure, processes and procedures to achieve client outcomes and resource utilization. Organize and support services to Home Care clients. Work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be flexible to time commitments and make decisions in a timely manner. Reliable, dependable and punctual. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
