Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the ideal candidate is motivated, creative, energetic, and available to teach a variety of Aquatic Exercise classes. Classes include mild and moderate aquatic rehabilitation exercise classes for individuals with different ability levels and ages (from children, youth, adults, to older adults). Availability for Friday mornings and Saturday afternoons is desirable.
Required Certifications include:Must meet one of the following:
Diploma in Rehabilitation Assistant program from an accredited institution, OR
Current certification with BCRPA Aquatic Fitness Instructor
Having the following training would be an asset but not required:
Aquatic rehabilitation (this training will be provided upon employment)
Applicants must also have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position and strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be required to supply a police record check and a copy of their credentials.
Hours of Work:
Hours and days of work will vary and may include early mornings, mid mornings, or evenings. 3 - 5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
$35.00 – $40.00 per hour (depending on experience), contract position
