Job Description:

Project Manager – Electronic Security

Responsibilities:

  • Managing/delivering project scope, deadline & budget handed over as quoted.
  • Ensure installation/quality standards are met or surpassed and installation and quality standards are met or surpassed
  • Assign Installation projects to Installation Supervisors / technicians, and/or Subcontractors based on experience and availability under the guidance of the Installation Manager with the assistance of the Installation Coordinator
  • Collaboration with Installation lead hand and/or subcontractors with developing an installation project plan and scheduling of equipment ordering and delivery to ensure projects completed to company standards and within hours allotted
  • Schedule and attend internal start up meetings, mandatory site meetings, kick off & pre-construction meetings and site inspections for all projects as required
  • Collaboration with Account Managers, engineering, and finance of all changes
  • Solicit project pricing from subcontractors and issue approved PO(s) when required
  • Assist the Sales Department on large complex projects (duties include site survey, estimating T&M, preparation of as-built drawings, job costing and budget control, document management etc.)
  • Produce an installation report on a weekly basis in conjunction with the Installation Coordinator which reflects the status (Hours) on all projects and provide to Installation Manager Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience, strategizing and preparing projects within the Security Systems and networking industry, resulting in successful & profitable projects
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of integrating access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and other building systems from various manufacturers.
  • Security Equipment Product knowledge
  • Experience working within Security System project plan and drawings
  • Strong leadership skills and communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and consulting skills
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and Adobe programs
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and has access to a vehicle, as this role requires travel and attending job sites as required
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or government security clearances)
  • University Degree or College Diploma in an asset * Project management education (i.e. Certificate in Project Management, PMP or CSPM designation) An asset
  • Proven understanding of project management concepts
  • Must have a "Customer First" attitude with a desire for quality craftsmanship
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, reporting and presentation skills
