Job description
Our non-profit organization is seeking a Part-Time Consultant (Independent Contractor) to help us research and design a new business model that generates revenue for the BYTES Organization. The role will also require that the successful candidate reach out to community stakeholders, implement new programs, and assist with the design of a stakeholder conference event. The successful candidate will work closely with our Board of Directors to develop and implement effective business strategies that will help us achieve our goals.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct research on the market, target audience, and competition to identify opportunities for revenue generation and community engagement
2. Develop and implement a new business model that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives
3. Reach out to community stakeholders and establish relationships that promote collaboration and engagement
4. Assist with the design and implementation of new programs that support our mission and vision
5. Help plan and execute a stakeholder conference event that brings together industry leaders, partners, and customers
6. Analyze data and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of our business strategies and community engagement efforts
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, community engagement, or related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with event planning and execution is a plus
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
This is a part-time position that requires approximately 25 hours per week. The consultant will work closely with our Board of Directors and report directly to the Board Chair.
