We are looking for a retail butcher with at least 2 years experience in meat cutting to work in the fast-paced environment of the St. Lawrence Market. It is not necessary to be a fully trained butcher but meat cutting experience is essential. Candidates should be able to:
-portion cut meat to specification.
-have basic knowledge of cuts of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken.
-move fast and work efficiently in a team environment
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-cutting and processing fresh product as it arrives.
-displaying trays of cut meat in a presentable manner.
-proper rotation of meat
-customer interaction, counter sales as required.
-maintaining beautiful counter displays and cooler temperatures at all times throughout the day.
