Reporting to the Manager, Experience, the Consultant, Staff Experience is responsible for ensuring that effective processes are in place to hear the experiences of clinical and non-clinical staff and to facilitate the best possible workplace experience for those working within Island Health. The Consultant enables implementation and continuous improvement of the Experience strategy across Island Health, and integral part of Island Health's strategic goals.
The Consultant collaborates and communicates with local and organization-wide clinical, non-clinical and leadership teams to support their engagement in the cultural change described in the Experience strategy. The Consultant works in collaboration with the Workplace Culture Council and the other team members within the Experience program. The Consultant supports building the Experience program into a robust support system that enables an exemplary experience for patients and families, staff, physicians, volunteers and community members.
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, and seven (7) years' recent related experience in a complex health care environment including quality, experience, project management and leadership experience.
Valid BC Driver's License.

Understanding of experience factors in healthcare and the impact on outcomes, clinical practice and patient, staff, physician, and volunteer experience
Knowledge of the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation
Demonstrated consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
Commitment to client service, teamwork and collaboration
Advanced competency in project/program implementation, management and evaluation.

Strong writing skills, with the ability to support policy standards development.
