Team Rubicon Canada (TRC) is seeking a Finance Manager, to join our hardworking, fun-loving and forward-thinking headquarters team. In this role, you will lead Team Rubicon Canada's Finance department within a fast-paced, complex, and demanding environment. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, year-end audit and tax preparation and special projects as needed. This position will be responsible for managing payables and receivables as well as supervising regional part-time finance volunteers.

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close;
Ensure accuracy of fund accounting coding and allocation of expenses and revenue;
Facilitate all accounts payable/receivable functions;
Recruit, develop and manage a core group of finance volunteers to support regional and national-level operations;
Responsible for the accuracy and timely reporting for all internal and external agencies;
Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives;
Responsible for conforming to accounting practices pursuant to annual audit requirements and as well as staying current with changes to accounting practices per IFRS standards;
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure; and
Develop and improve existing system of internal controls and/or processes.
Experience and Background
5+ years of experience in financial accounting;
Bachelor's degree in related field (non-profit focus an asset). CPA preferred;
Some external audit experience preferred;
Some non-profit experience preferred, but not required;
Must have full charge accounting experience;
Must have 2 – 3 years of experience in supervising accounting staff; and
Working knowledge of IFRS.
