Under general supervision and direction of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Rehabilitation manager, this position provides clerical support in the RAH hand therapy Clinic and the RAH rehabilitation department. Working with administrative and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care, the clerk III will provide general reception, scheduling, billing and filing duties. A comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation and therapeutic services in both acute and outpatient settings is an asset. The RAH rehabilitation program seeks to provide excellent patient centered care through education, mentorship and implementation of evidence and best practice strategies and every member of the team is essential in ensuring this happens.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Recognized Unit Clerk, medical office assistant certificate, or equivalent required. Must have completed a Medical Terminology course. Medical receptionist experience is required. Proficient computer skills with the following applications: excel, MS Word, outlook. Must be able to embrace change. Must be motivated, self-directed, and able to prioritize and keep pace in a busy clinic. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required. Must be able to prioritize and organize to meet the needs of several therapists. During peak periods, the incumbent deals with multiple calls for attention (therapist requests, patients, phones ringing, trouble shooting, etc.). Accuracy and attention to detail is extremely important. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Reliability and accountability is required.
Experience in a rehabilitation clinic is an asset. Knowledge and experience with VAX, and eclinician and/or connect care is an asset. Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
