Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire Senior Product Operations Analyst to join our team! Reporting to the Manager, Product Operations Analytics, your strength will be building relationships across the organization as well as your analytical approach to various business problems to propose and review various Product Operations initiatives with focus on Underwriting. Your recommendations will span a timeframe of 6-18 months. We are looking for a confident individual who enjoys working on a variety of challenges, collaborating with a wide range of individuals, and appreciate a balance of both quantitative and qualitative solutions. This is a good opportunity for an individual who is looking for exposure to various departments and who is eager to learn how underwriting and analysis aligns to the high-level strategy of the organization.

In Product Operations, we use data to support the pricing and acceptance of profitable risks while striving to be as efficient in our processes as possible.

Accountabilities:
Work closely with Pricing and Underwriting to identify opportunity areas or gaps in rating, underwriting rules and mix of business trends

Review, understand and analyze current underwriting rules to ensure efficient processes, acceptance of profitable risks and consistency throughout the regions/brands

Manage/create company wide mix of business analysis to enable action and influence decision making

Work with various individuals within the organization to influence positive changes to our underwriting processes/rules which incorporates stakeholder feedback

Support the market team through underwriting analysis to provide recommendations to improve profitability and growth

Develop, implement, maintain and receive regulatory approval of underwriting guidelines to ensure product integrity

Qualifications & Experience:
Undergraduate degree from a college or university institute

Minimum of 3 years insurance experience or other relevant role in an analytical capacity

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Knowledge SAS, SQL Server, and Tableau is an asset

CIP and/or CRM designation is an asset

Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting recommendations in an organized, logical and effective manner to a wide variety of audiences

Sound business acumen and comfortable using judgement to make assumptions in the absence of black and white data

Able to build relationships so you can understand the needs of your market and influence the adoption of your recommendations to address these needs

Ability to collaborate effectively with peers to meet objectives as one cohesive team

Analytical and decision making abilities

Effectively able to take initiative and multi-task competing priorities while remaining organized

Ability to research and analyze data from a variety of sources
