Cayenta has an opportunity for a Systems Architect who will join the Cayenta Product & Technology Team in developing and expanding Cayenta’s new generation of applications. We are looking for an individual with a passion for technology, desire to continuously improve and drive to contribute to Cayenta ERP’s strategic vision.

This Systems Architect position requires experience with designing and implementing software solutions and architectures utilizing new and appropriate technologies. You will be reporting to the Director of the Product & Technology Team.

Designs and develops modernization and refactoring efforts of existing software solutions in new technologies.
Collaborates and develops with technology and product-based development teams to execute on product-specific or solution-wide projects.
Designs and develops performant, scalable, secure and reliable solutions based on the stakeholders’ requirements and industry best practices.
Resolves architectural and design problems and address other concerns as necessary.
Performs the more complex elements of application development, applying an advanced level of technical expertise and judgment to achieve desired work outcomes.
Conducts analysis and provides recommendation to senior management of the technical direction and design of medium to large scale initiatives.
Reviews obsolescence issues and recommends design changes.
Works in both a team environment and independently with minimum supervision.

8+ years of software development experience
Fluent with a range of programming languages (e.g. Node.js, Javascript, Typescript, Java and C) and the use of related frameworks
Advanced experience with databases, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and Postgres
Experience with identity management and authentication standards (e.g. OAuth, SAML, etc)
Experience developing with APIs and web services (e.g. REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
Ability to keep current with advancements in technology and tools. A working understanding of emerging learning technologies is desirable
