Provides day-to-day leadership to department staff including allocating work, adjusting staff schedule to meet wage expense targets, developing worker skills through one on one coaching, conducting staff training and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
Coordinates and follows up on the preparation of customer orders, picking product, securing items on the skid and banding and wrapping according to weather and loading conditions.
Monitors and follows up on the preparation of vehicles for delivery. Ensures that drivers verify that all products are securely loaded and protected from the elements and all accompanying paperwork is available.
### Job Requirements
Must hold a valid ‘G’ level driver’s license.
Must be familiar with basic home building construction in order to sequence loads.
Must have strong communication skills and be able to understand customer requirements.
Must have good knowledge of the layout of city roadways, maintain awareness of road restrictions and have the ability to source alternative routes.
