Desjardins is going digital and speeding up its IT transformation by implementing IT Foundations, platforms, tools and practices that allow us to offer business solutions faster and at a lower cost. To manage and develop these IT Foundations, Desjardins has established a large, multi-level team that works in Agile mode across the organization (using the SAFe framework).
The architect will join the Centre of Expertise, which is responsible for which is responsible for development plans, prioritization, practices, governance and frameworks for the business solutions that will ensure the proper use of the Foundations and the success of the transformation.
As Solutions Architect, Digital Documents, you will actively monitor opportunities offered by new technologies and business approaches for the organization as a whole. You will design solutions to meet the business needs of large-scale projects or programs that leverage architecture and foundation targets. Your technological field will involve managing the life cycle of electronic documents (enterprise content management, content services), the electronic signature and the sharing of documents with Desjardins members, clients and partners.
You will take on, from a Desjardins Group perspective, a leadership and influencer role when interacting with business partners and specialists on solution or business architecture for strategic, complex and innovative initiatives. The nature of the files will require extensive and in-depth expertise in several technology and/or business fields, covering aspects pertaining to data, applications and infrastructures.
You will make recommendations regarding solution or business architecture, and produce deliverables pertaining to your field as part of files or projects that have a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. These will require analysis and an overall, in-depth understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination will be critical. You will be required to interact with a very large number of stakeholders who are active in a variety of fields of expertise. Highly developed interpersonal skills will therefore be essential.
You will serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.
Achieve the Enterprise Architecture targets.
Help reduce technical debt by documenting the IT evolution implementation plan.
Provide recognized cross-sector expertise.
Produce and publish various artefacts, including guides, flowcharts, transition plan.
Participate in service and product planning (e.g., PI planning).
Share knowledge, expertise and ideas with managers, Finance, architects and experts.
Assist in portfolio planning and recommend operational initiatives.
Support technical debt reduction to contain and minimize technology fragmentation.
Take part in technology communities of practice.
Support operational development and excellence.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Document management experience (an asset)
