Marketing Manager (Digital):
As our new Marketing Manager (Digital), you’ll lead us in achieving business objectives by delivering a best-in-class online experience that promotes the value of working with a professional financial planner and drives demand for FP Canada’s certifications and education offerings. Using your creative and analytical mind, you’ll optimize and improve the online user experience while overseeing our digital strategy, website, and Social programs.
Though your focus will be on digital strategy, you’ll need to have a solid understanding of the full marketing mix as you’ll also oversee traditional media. You’ll have 1 direct report and will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to ensure all initiatives are effective, achieve KPIs, and bring FP Canada’s brand to life.
Practically speaking, you will:
Drive traffic and increase user satisfaction by leading & implementing our web strategy, oversee website redesign, utilize SEO and SEM to improve search rankings, and enhance usability and design with new content and website analytics
Act as the primary content writer by writing, editing, and reviewing content to ensure it aligns and is consistent with our key messaging
Continuously improve website content maintenance approach including setting processes, prioritizing website requests from team and stakeholders, and managing internal content generation
Develop and execute digital marketing plans for major events including Financial Planning Week, ensuring deliverables are met on time
Lead and implement content and social media marketing strategies, partnering with stakeholders as needed (e.g., for design and execution of website strategy)
Develop online standards and policies, maintain and improve UX and UI standards, and collaborate with IT and Operations to continually enhance the user experience
Coordinate development of digital content like videos and webinars, and oversee advertising strategy
We’ll look to you for your creative, analytical, and strategic mind as you solve problems with abstract needs and ensure initiatives are moving along according to timelines. You’ll also need excellent communication skills, strong content writing and research skills, excellent organization, and an eagle eye for detail.
This position will require you to leverage campaign/market knowledge as well as manage multiple ongoing projects and initiatives to ensure our brand story is coming to life. You’ll also excel in this role if you’re proactive with a continuous improvement mindset, can analyze and process statistical data, and can work collaboratively with other departments and various stakeholders. We’re a small organization with an all hands-on-deck mentality and are looking for a team player who is willing to jump in to support as needed.

Working with FP Canada:
This is a full-time permanent position working in downtown Toronto, Monday to Friday with flexible core hours. You’ll receive a competitive compensation package which includes salary plus bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching.

5-10 years of experience in marketing (e.g., as a marketing consultant, specialist, representative, lead, or even account manager from a marketing agency), including the planning and execution of integrated marketing programs with a focus on digital demand generation and digital media
Experience creating content by writing, editing, and approving marketing materials
Experience with digital marketing and online advertising, re-targeting, and SEM, SEO or similar tools
Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or similar
Comfortability with direct marketing fundamentals, web analytics, marketing metrics, and A/B multivariate testing (an asset)
Understanding of AODA general guidelines and experience using website content management systems (CMS) and HTML (an asset)
Experience leading a small team (an asset)
Experience using digital tools like Sprinklr, MailChimp, WordPress, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and similar (an asset)
Strong creative design skills, including experience in website design and technologies, user interface, and user experience design (an asset)
Any experience in the financial services industry (an asset)
