In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduate from an Accredited School of Dental Hygiene or the National School of Dental Therapy

Degree equivalency

Current registration as a dental hygienist within the Provincial regulatory body (dental hygiene graduates only)

Recent experience in Oral Health treatment service as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist

  • Ability to organize and implement a community oral health program
  • Ability to liaise with community health workers, COHI aides, nurses, teachers, officials and parents
  • Ability to work effectively with First Nations, Inuit, or Métis

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS

In support of strategically increasing aboriginal representation in areas having the most impact on program delivery and health outcomes of FNIHB’s target population, selection may be limited to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel including by air, sea, motor vehicles including low level flying and travelling to remote locations.
