Urban Barn is accepting applications for a Junior QA Tester, to join our Systems Team based out of our Home Office in Burnaby, BC.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the QA Tester will provide and evaluate reports relating to our daily business activities to various business units across Urban Barn.

This position is an 12-month contract

What You Will Do

Participate in Test Planning, Creation of Test Cases, Defect Reporting, Defect Verification and General Documentation to support our Ecommerce and POS Project
Understand the customer's needs and reflect this knowledge during test case execution and defect investigation
Review requirements and specifications and build test cases independently
Perform front-end UI web application testing and some back-end as well
Validate all pages, forms, emails and content works and look adequately
Log defects accurately and with all the information required to replicate the bugs
Work with external developers and internal BA to test, explain and resolve issues
Ensure all applications meet the standards for quality
Conduct user acceptance tests as required
Assists with administrative tasks as needed

What You Bring

Understanding of QA testing methodologies, able to write ample test cases based on application specifications
Experience testing web and mobile applications is an asset
Experience with a retail ecommerce engine (Magento, Hybris, Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus)
Experience working on an agile development environment is an asset
Familiar with standard bug tracking tools i.e. JIRA
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with maintaining website
