POSITION Plant Manager
SUMMARY Reporting to the President of Campion, the Plant Manager will be accountable for effectively planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing and organizing the manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, materials, quality, and safety departments. The goal will be better safety, quality and productivity, and providing team leadership and development for effective delivery.
To succeed at Campion you must be highly organized and hard working. You will need to be comfortable identifying and executing change initiatives, implementing processes where processes don’t exist, implementing new systems, and developing people in a fast changing and unstable environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development and direction of all manufacturing initiatives;
Be a key player in all turnaround initiatives;
Support new product development by coordinating with the product development team and ensuring Campion is production ready for all new products;
Improve safety practices and build up the corporate culture;
Develop the people through coaching, teaching and training;
Implement systems to measure and report on materials and labour, and other measures of operational performance;
Evaluate Campion’s logistics system and make any necessary changes;
Perform project management for key programs;
Plan and perform Lean initiatives to reduce waste; and
Spend up to 80% of your time “boots on the floor” coaching, mentoring and managing.

Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma;
Experience with manufacturing information systems;
Passion for developing people, processes, and systems;
Highly organized, solution-oriented, aptitude for multi-tasking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Demonstrated leadership and adaptability under pressure; and
Experience with fiberglass preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing; and
Post-secondary degree in Engineering preferred.
