Essential Duties:

  • Provide Premier Equipment Ltd, customers with an above average level of customer support encouraging allegiance, professionalism, Customer Service Initiatives and Corporate initiatives on an everyday basis.
  • Promote Team Work and a “Customer First” commitment to all Branch and inter-Branch, Service, Parts and Sales departments.
  • Develop, maintain and adhere to a priority system for scheduling all service work, both customer and internal.
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist the Service Administrator with administrative responsibilities for the service department pertaining to internal, external and warranty work orders such as opening, maintaining, comments and invoicing.
  • Ensure that all manufacturer Warranty and Product Improvement Programs are completed according to manufacturer’s requirements.
  • Monitor WIP on a daily basis to achieve corporate goals.
  • Assist the service manager with the control of lost time to ensure the corporate goal of 85% productivity is met.
  • Promote all departmental marketing initiatives as provided.
  • Assist Service Manager with special events and projects as required.
  • Promote service work, contact customers to present quotes for repairs and obtain approvals.
  • Perform other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in Service Department operations.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.
  • Rotating Saturdays will be required.
