The knowledge of a great Front Desk Agent is the expectation of our guests when staying at The Beach Motel. As a Front Desk team member, you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure by ensuring they have a memorable experience with us. Your ability to anticipate guests’ needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.

What you will be doing:
- Offer professional, consistent, friendly, and engaging service
- Anticipate our guests' needs by communicating and completing our signature pre-arrival program with our guests
- Check-in and out motel guests according to standards and policies
- Answer incoming calls
- Monitor for special rates and billing arrangements
- Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly
- Review and prepare for loyalty members' arrivals to ensure a flawless check-in experience
- Ensure inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
- Educate guests on our tailored activities available
- Aid all guests in making reservations and arrangements for travel, dining, and activities
- Follow The Beach Motel’s policies, procedures, and service standards
- Follow all training provided on safe work practices and job procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests and team members
- Be security conscious, discretion is paramount
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Report any repairs or maintenance required in rooms or public areas promptly to your supervisor
- Must adhere and know emergency/fire procedure responsibilities towards the hotel and our guests
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- Physically capable of performing duties that involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting of heavy objects
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in a similar environment will be an asset
- Must possess outstanding guest service skills, including professional verbal communication skills
- Good computer literacy (experience using Property Manager System preferred, and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
- Ability to consistently stand and walk throughout shift
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal; strong organizational and time-management skills
- You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, evenings, early mornings, and other non-typical shifts

Centrally located in Southampton, Ontario, The Beach Motel is the area’s only premier boutique motel. With 17 beautifully appointed guestrooms, The Beach Motel is truly the place to work and stay. The working environment is both indoors and outdoors, year-round. Our property is multi-level without elevators. Each guestroom is accessed from the outdoors.
