The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions. It also provides course scheduling, administration of tests and exams, enrolment data analysis and business intelligence.

Working under the direction of Manager, Systems and Data Analysis, you will be responsible for data analysis, developing reports/dashboards within the BI tool suite, data visualization, data monitoring, statistical analysis, report writing and making recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining a database (ROSI, internal databases, etc.)
Running queries to gather data
Analyzing complex statistical reports and/or financial information for management decision-making (using SAS, R, SPSS)
Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making (using Business Intelligence/Analytics Tools such as Tableau, Cognos Cubes)
Entering course and/or program information in Student Information System (ROSI) using scripts and queries
Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
Bachelor's Degree with a background in statistics or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Minimum four years of relevant experience working with, managing and manipulating large datasets is required
Strong technical skills associated with database management tools
Advanced knowledge and experience using SQL
Excellent knowledge of student information systems or other relational databases
Ability to utilize statistical tools to conduct regression analysis, correlation studies and other statistical analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of Excel to manipulate data and make sense out of data
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to make meaningful stories from data
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities with the highest level of accuracy

Experience developing data visualizations using Tableau dashboards for higher education
