You will work independently and collaboratively, with minimal guidance, and through teams and vendors to ensure reliable operations of province-wide Community and Clinical Information Systems that affect the achievement of community and clinical programs’ operational, project, and service objectives. You have the ability to plan and work within set project schedules and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and team members. A strong customer service focus is essential. There is also on-call rotation expectation with this position.
As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in information technology. Experience in UNIX and Windows operating system platforms. Experience with database platforms, including Oracle 10g or above and development tools including PL/SQL, Oracle reports, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator, Toad, Visio, and MS Access. High level of proficiency in querying databases using SQL. Demonstrated strong logical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to identify links between business strategy and technology solutions. Ability to set personal and team deadlines, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes in priority. Ability to develop architectural / technical and process documentation.
Experience in a healthcare environment. Experience with Apache and Tomcat web servers. Experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis. Experience in Health Language 7 (HL7) and Health Informatics. Knowledge of linkages between processes of healthcare delivery and technology. Knowledge of emerging trends in technology relating to software applications. Experience with IHE profiles for XDS support.
