The Senior Corporate Travel Associate will work closely with all IGM business travelers to ensure standard travel arrangements are made with ease, that are cost efficient and that provides oversight and duty of care for all travelers during business travel experience. This role will fulfill the Corporate Travel mandate and business needs by understanding various types of business travel requirements, policy, standards, charge card liabilities and reimbursement of business travel expenses, tools, processes, and different products to offer travelers. The role will also contribute to the development of Corporate Travel strategic planning activities, working with business partners, IGM business leaders and 3rd party suppliers, to ensure travel solutions are aligned with business needs.
Business Travel operational requirements
Business travel impacts of policy, standards, tools and fraud risk mitigation
New business travel projects, implementations and process flows
Business travel data and reporting impact on business
Business travel standard processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Business travel requirement standard documents, cross training, process flow diagrams.
Ensure that business travel, up and coming, booked, or taken, meets standards and is reimbursed in the correct manner with oversight to ensure fraud mitigated.
Ensure corporate charge card program meets compliance, liabilities are cleared monthly.
Analyze business travel processes and identify opportunities for improvement or new products.
Support the identification and implementation of business requirements, plans, and related business process flows with impacted business units/partners.
Analyze and prepare business impact documentation, identify system, and change management and training requirements.
Support the definition and design of interactions between processes, people, and systems.
Work with cross-functional teams on technical projects as assigned.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
At least 5 years working experience in travel industry as travel consultant or equivalent roles
Post-secondary education required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
Ability to develop, maintain and manage relationships at various levels within the Company and 3rd party suppliers
Proven leadership skills with strong decision-making capability and judgment
Demonstrated analytical ability with a focus on detail and accuracy
Strong presentation and facilitation skills to guide business teams through the decision-making process and understand the implications of their choices
Problem-solving skills to apply critical thinking to understand business needs and solutions
Intermediate Microsoft skills, SAP, Concur Expense Tool, Charge Card data base, Airline booking systems
Corporate Travel experience
Completion of CTA certificate desirable
Travel Business Acumen : Business background and sound experience in the travel services industry is required.
