About the position
Reporting to the Centre Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team who is responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of a specific childcare center through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement: to provide quality primary and backup childcare services conveniently located near our children’s parent’s place of work. We aim to assist corporations in creating a healthy work/life balance.
Responsibilities

Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.

Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping.

Implement an Emergent Curriculum

Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
-
Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as necessary.

Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
-
Meet all classroom ratios

Participate and help lead staff meetings and workshops

Assist the Centre Director with child/ staff files and other ministry requirements.
What you need

Registered as an ECE IT in the province of British Columbia

Criminal record check
-
Valid Childcare First Aid and CPR
-
Immunizations up to date
-
Ability to push, pull and lift up-to 45 pounds
