We are currently seeking an Executive Director to join our team to oversee the diverse, active, vibrant and premier community of Park Avenue in Rocky Mountain House, AB.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation and management of the senior living community in accordance with the standards and guidelines of state and federal law.
Qualified candidates for our Executive Director position must have prior senior living industry experience in operating an assisted living community and will be a leader who has the business acumen to develop and execute strategy to deliver financial, operational and marketing/sales success along with employee and resident satisfaction. He/she will be able to increase revenues and census while controlling expenses and managing the budget. The Executive Director will need to possess exceptional team building qualities and will oversee the overall management and the day-to-day operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
The core competencies of the Executive Director's role consist of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or industry related program, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum of five years of managerial experience preferably in the senior living, health care or hospitality industries.
Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision and discipline.
Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses.
Experience with Alberta Health Services and Supportive Living Accommodation Standards is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication, organizational and decision-making skills are a must, along with the ability to work in an active environment with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Demonstrated success in facility management and operations, revenue generation, staff retention, hospitality and fiscal management.
Awareness of accident and injury prevention, hazard identification and control; adherence to safe work practices and procedures is essential in this position.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of the company is essential.
