NCSG Crane and Heavy Haul have an opportunity for an experienced, focused Subject Matter Expert to grow account portfolios of industry key players and drive the acquisition of new large accounts. Drive the top-line through expert account oversight, relationship management and sales. Execute the strategy, formal account planning and forecasting in coordination with business development. Retain and grow business relationships with key clients and projects within the Fort McMurray region by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting innovative solutions with our service offerings. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in crane & transport functions, capabilities, and standards with a sales background along with a proven track record of interacting with owners, engineers and/or contractors who are directly involved in providing construction or equipment services to a project/facility.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Responsible for mapping out key players and building relationships with senior decision makers within assigned key accounts, creating an on-going relationship strategy, cultivating partnering relationships, and establishing NCSG as a trusted advisor
Identify and capitalize on expansion of services and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts by means of promoting capabilities and capacities
Provides regular communication of client requirements, work scopes and timelines to operations team to provide strong team representation and meet client expectations
Serve as the account advocate internally and organize introductory meetings with appropriate members of the corporate, operations, safety team and the client
Scan and Monitor the assigned marketplace for niche opportunities in new and emerging industries
Monthly contact with all key customer base and quarterly face-to-face meetings with key members
Provide weekly reporting on all interactions and takeaways from the discussions with key personnel
Maintain a continuous knowledge on client/project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the client/project through regular site visits
Ensure optimum fleet implementation and utilization, assist with daily operational requirements where directed
Reviews and provide input on target client opportunities while ensuring alignment with overall account strategy and planning process
Track and provide market intel on regional key industry clients, upcoming projects, competitor activities, rates and business trends
The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
Bachelor Degree/College diploma preferred in an engineering/business related discipline or a technical crane trades ticket
Minimum 7-10 years of proven field experience in a similar role in the construction and/or crane services industry an asset
Knowledge or previous exposure to the equipment rental market; preference given to crane and/or specialized hauling experience
Ability to read and understand legal terms and conditions
Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively plan and organize work
Computer skills in database management and MS office programs such as Outlook/Word/Excel and Autocad
Ability to develop and maintain business relationships through a mature, credible approach
Strong inter-personal and communicative skills both verbal and written
