PROJECT OWNER/MANAGER, HEAD OFFICE CONSTRUCTION AND COMMISSIONING, COLLINGWOOD, ON (12-MONTH CONTRACT)
Reporting to the Director, Cap Ex, Project Management, this role is responsible for leading the build and transition of our new corporate head office in downtown Collingwood. Key responsibilities include planning, execution, monitoring and control.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage large construction projects and office transitions. This role requires someone who can apply project management principles as well as provide strategic operational insight to stakeholders. If you are a self – starter with strong construction deliverable experience, this is a great opportunity to assist a growth -orientated company with a strong development mandate.
Construction Project Management:
Represent Parkbridge with Buttcon (General Contractor), manage project and ensure milestones achieved.
Prepare physical and interior design, specifications, and procurement details for approval of Director and Parkbridge executives
Develop and obtain approval for building technology, automation, and security
Effectively manage budget, prepare progress reports, make recommendations on cost containment and risk management.
Ensure all building systems (electrical/lighting, plumbing, HVAC, technology, etc.) are in working order and pass pressure tests as applicable
Ensure physical aspects of building envelope, physical plant, and interior fit/finish are delivered in expected condition and standard prior to accepting as complete
Identify and resolve building and landscape deficiencies and risk
Plan for ongoing building operations and maintenance
Coordinating a multi-disciplined Parkbridge and consultant team to develop and execute an approved Pre-opening and opening/move plan
Work with HR to finalize personnel seating, furniture plan, and pandemic/hotelling plans
Collaborate and lead Pre-opening team through operational aspects of move planning, seating, storage, IT onboarding, troubleshooting
Complete the purchasing/relocation/divestiture as applicable of all interior furniture at the new HQ building (including exterior areas and exercise room) and legacy Parkbridge offices in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach
Develop a building operations plan with key stakeholders in Parkbridge and identify 3rd party suppliers (security, grass cutting, snow removal, etc.)
Develop Environmental Health & Safety protocols with Parkbridge EHS team for approval and implementation
Plan artwork, décor, exterior plantings, signage, lighting schemes, kitchen equipment/setup, and other staff spaces with collaboration and approval from the Executive team
Identify and resolve with Buttcon any post-handover building or warranty items
Train and support the building manager on operational and maintenance of the building

Knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, business and project management teams to proactively manage a project
Demonstrated business and financial acumen in the residential development sector
Results-focused, entrepreneurial and innovative with sense of urgency
Exceptional communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders)
A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement, strong operational focus and a creative thinker
