Position: Financial Advisor

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Location: 171 Donald, Winnipeg MB

Hours of Work: Full-time position, Monday-Friday; Some evenings & weekends are required

We are looking for a Financial Advisor to join our successful team at Crosstown Civic Credit Union. We are a full service financial institution with nine branches, over $2.5 billion in assets under management and more than 30,000 members. The Financial Advisor seeks to manage and grow the wealth management portfolio by providing exceptional service to both existing and potential members through the promotion and sale of mutual funds-centered (Credential Asset Management Inc.) products and services.

Your opportunity

The Financial Advisor is a passionate, results-driven, career minded, MFDA licensed Advisor who provides advanced financial solutions, and financial planning advice to existing and new Credit Union members, as well as self sourced clients.

The Financial Advisor will work in close collaboration with our consumer branch network to establish trusted internal relationships in order to foster a steady stream of referrals. An existing book of business exists today with our current Financial Advisor, with a need to increase the resource complement to support future growth opportunities.

Externally, the Financial Advisor will have an active community presence, building the Credit Union's profile in the community as a professional provider of wealth management products, services and expertise.

Education and Designated Requirements:
Mutual funds licensed
Certified Financial Planner (CPP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years experience in financial planning/financial sales & service
Superior knowledge of the Financial industry and products
Comfortable with industry standard financial planning tools/software
LLQP, Life, Accident and Disability insurance licensed considered an asset
Post secondary diploma/degree , ideally in Commerce or Business Administration

Proven networking, relationship building , client acquisition and asset gathering abilities
Ability to work within a team environment to the benefit of the member / client
Superior sales abilities
Outstanding presentation and communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Proven organizational and time management abilities
