in Dorval, the Internal Auditor will report to the Head of Internal
Audit. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for the development,
planning and coordination of internal audits required to provide Bombardier
management and the Board of Directors with an independent assessment of risks,
the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls/processes in place, and the
extent to which Bombardier’s resources are managed efficiently and economically
and the effectiveness of operations. He/she, collaboratively with senior
management, must analyze and prioritize risks, including IT risks.


your role, you will:
  • Plan
audit projects based on a risk assessment;

  • Lead,
supervise, and execute all phases of the audit ;

prioritize and evaluate the major risks facing Bombardier;

  • Appraise financials controls, reporting systems and
compliance processes;

  • Prepare
audit reports that adequately communicate the findings of the audit;

  • Perform
follow-up reviews to validate that process improvement results have been

testing on the effectiveness of
disclosure controls and procedures;

  • Participate
in the elaboration of the yearly internal audit plan;

  • Develop
effective and value-added partnerships while maintaining audit independence and
objectivity in all assignments;

Provide ongoing analysis of feedback
received from the members of Management to identify new project or service

  • Collaborate with other members of the
Internal Audit team and perform special projects as assigned by Internal Audit

  • Keep abreast of current developments in
auditing and in new auditing techniques;

  • Coach, mentor and supervise less
experienced staff;


our ideal candidate, you

Have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a recognized accounting
designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CIA);

  • Have a minimum of 3 to 8 years of pertinent experience in an accounting firm and/or within an
internal audit department;

  • Have a strong understanding of business risks and
analytical skills to evaluate areas of risks and to develop appropriate

Have knowledge in auditing frameworks such as COSO,
COBIT, an asset;

  • Are
bilingual (French and English);

organized and manage time efficiently, while working toward aggressive

excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;

  • Have strong
experience in project management;

Are a team player;

  • Can work
independently with little supervision and make sound decisions;

  • Can demonstrate
the ability to think both analytically and creatively;

Are detail-oriented;

  • Possess strong writing skills.
  • Have the ability to travel when required (20% of the time).
