You are marine industry-savvy, you excel in a detail-oriented environment and your goal is to provide a comprehensive range of project management and coordination activities to various stakeholders. As Coordinator, you will provide management-support for those responsible for project administration relative to the replacement of specified minor vessels as part of the BC Ferries’ Vessel Replacement Program, and potentially in support of ship repair activities.

You coordinate and attend meetings as required, maintain financial data, produce summary reports, and review and track all progress invoicing ensuring consistency with correspondence. You apply your knowledge of best practices for project administration key duties including resource allocation, task planning and progress reporting. You are given various tasks and expected to present results in an efficient and accurate manner. You will work in a team setting on producing a detailed business case that is presented to the BC Ferries Commission. You coordinate the management of technical data to enable efficient Engineering analysis and decision making while coordinating the technical evaluation support activities for the Project Manager. You establish and maintain comprehensive data bases, document of control procedures, and various tracking logs.

You are able to work outside of normal office hours, and are willing to travel and work internationally. You can work effectively within tight deadlines. You have a high degree of professionalism coupled with superior communication, organization, judgement and problem solving skills. You have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, Oracle and Maximo, and have project accounting knowledge. You are able to comprehend technical concepts and construction processes.

You have a degree in Engineering or Business and have proven industry related experience, specifically in marine vessel project management. Preference will be given to those with training in project management and / or accounting.
