About the role:
The primary responsibilities of the PMO Practice Manager will be to provide leadership and talent management support on customer projects that touch both internal and external audiences. Experienced in supporting Project Managers, Business System Analysts / Consultants and Scrum Masters, you will be accountable for defining and evolving both Waterfall and Agile practices to support the growth of the team in the various domains.
As a practice leader on the PMO team, you will manage a team of 15-20 highly skilled and collaborative individuals across multiple geographies. This position will report to the Director, Project Management Office in the Digital Solutions team.
What will you do?
Manage team members based on supply versus demand forecasting and best-fit assignments along with our Delivery team.
Effectively hire and retain talent while leading and growing the PMO.
Set performance plans and objectives that recognizes talent and provides honest, direct and real-time feedback.
Build team agility by assessing and anticipating knowledge/skill gaps and driving knowledge transfer and/or skill development.
Work effectively with 3rd party vendors and outsourcers (talent supply management).
Establish best practices and evolve them to ensure compliance with audits and guidelines.
Provide leadership in creating an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
Coach team members, facilitate transparent, adaptive, and high-performing team culture.
Promote the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization. This includes leading teams and influencing leaders and partners as they learn and adopt Agile practices by supporting them through coaching and mentoring.
Provide 1:1 mentoring and coaching for purposes of development, support or remediation across all levels of the organization.
What do you need to succeed?
Within this role, you are a recognized practice leader with the experience to drive our Waterfall and Agile initiatives forward.
Experienced in Talent Management – recruitment and selection, performance management, performance development and coaching, reward and recognition.
Strong leadership skills - comfortable managing large cross-functional teams, resources and project issues in multiple locations.
A self-starter - able to contribute while influencing and building the PM/BSA/SM practice.
Conflict and issue resolution and escalation experience.
A strong motivator and influencer within the team and outside the team.
Excellent communication (oral and written), facilitation, reporting and presentation skills.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Scrum Master and leading Agile teams.
Proven skills in coaching and mentoring team members.
Belief in a culture of interaction, transparency and trust in teams.
Self-aware of cognitive biases and their impact on decision-making.
You also possess the following technical skills and experience:
A Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
Greater than 5 years of experience providing direct and/or indirect leadership.
Integrating complex and unique program/projects with numerous technologies and platforms.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
