The Resource Manager (RM) is responsible for working with project delivery teams to staff consultants on projects as well as analyze data for use in forecasting future project resource needs.
The RM will manage and ensure accuracy of staffing data and facilitate communication across stakeholder groups. The RM does not directly manage consultants but responsible for tracking all the pertinent information (e.g., assignment/availability, skills, future resource needs) necessary to staff projects. The RM will use in-depth experience and expertise of personnel and project management to support and continuously improve resource management processes and functions. As relationship building is a critical part of this role the candidate should have proven negotiation skills and historical demonstration of influence as agent of change in an organization.

Position Accountabilities:
Manage the skills assessment process to ensure the staffs' skills information is kept up to date
Oversee the definition of new skills required to support more efficient staffing
Analyze and identify key skills gaps across the organization and make recommendations for how to address
Receive and process new project and resource requests as well as identify/recommend staffing on projects working closely with Group Resource team leads, Account Services and Project Managers to assess allocation, utilization, forecasting for scheduling or reallocating of hours between portfolios, programs, projects and tasks across all digital lines of service (eg Media, SEO, Web Development, Strategy, Analytics)
Act as point of contact for resource booking confirmation, conflict resolution, and development of solutions in support of business goals
Monitor and conduct meetings with PMO & Department leads to collect project and resource data in order to track changing resource needs based on modified start/end dates and changes to project plan definitions
Work to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members.
Responsible for managing overall utilization.
Receive, record, and analyze future resource needs, translating project pipeline information into resource needs
Produce Resource Forecasting Reports that assess and identify project resource gaps and surpluses
Partner with PMO, Department Leads and Senior Team to act as trusted advisor for interpretation of forecasted resource supply and demand
Support the operationalization and activation of a resource management tool
Develop & manage resource management education programs for the organization, including curriculum, content development and delivery vehicles with the end goal of maximizing billable resource utilization
Recommend process improvements for the Resource Management Operation.
Establish / Manage / Run regular resource staffing meetings and produce necessary supporting reports and analyses to support resource discussions
Create and manage resource utilization and other metrics reports for use by personnel throughout the organization
Responsible for ensuring established resource management business processes are followed.
Gather and analyze metrics to monitor how well the overall resource management function is performing

Position Requirements:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the professional services industry; experience with project management is a plus
Position requires substantial understanding of professional services delivery and cross-functional/matrix delivery structures
Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university with six to eight years related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional services or project management experience
Ability and/or experience with client facing activities
Must have proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel & Mavenlink (a plus)
