Reporting directly to and partnering with the CEO, Russell Hendrix is looking for a dynamic eCommerce leader with a proven track record and general manager mindset to join our leadership team as the Director, Ecommerce, you will take over the existing operations of www.russellhendrix.com and be responsible for leading, executing, and evolving it to achieve Russell Hendrix’s aggressive monthly eCommerce growth plans and to develop a world class platform. In the future you will also develop and execute the broader online and 3rd party marketplace eCommerce strategy.
The role will also partner closely with Russell Hendrix’s sales, marketing, finance and operations teams on digital marketing, brand awareness, customer experience, pricing, key programs and initiatives, and margin improvement.
Develop integrated demand generation strategies and playbooks across eCommerce channels that are accretive to the P&L, including sell-out, budget, assortment changes, demo program, brand visibility initiatives, business cases, etc.
Formulate and execute annual sales, marketing, inventory, and promotional plans and calendars.
Focus on digital marketing, pricing, online discoverability, content optimization, and online ratings & reviews.
Collaborate with the Russell Hendrix Marketing team to develop and implement cross-channel and channel-specific strategic business plans encompassing brand messaging, benefits, and value proposition.
Help expand internal knowledge, literacy and comfort with the eCommerce channel.
Help sales and Business Development educate customers on the value and capabilities of our eCommerce channel and drive adoption across all current sales channels.
Collaborate and coordinate promotional activities (Customer Specific Promotions, Paid Media, In-showroom Marketing, Events, Catalogs, Demos etc.) with our Marketing team.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in adjacent business units (sales, marketing, finance, information technology, etc.) on various other activities.
Perform related operations and supply chain activities, such as tracking operational metrics and benchmarks; collaborating with Product team to manage item lifecycles; collaborating on inventory management and key account fulfillment; troubleshooting account needs and questions.
Work with the Russell Hendrix’s digital marketing agencies to deploy tactics to support eCommerce channel sales and margin goals (e.g. SEO, PPC, display, affiliate, Social) to support consumer brand awareness and desire.
Analyze and apply data to identify and pursue eCommerce growth opportunities that will improve conversion rates and increasing the number of online purchases.
Develop monthly and annual eCommerce inventory demand projections and P&L budget, including traffic, sales, conversion and AOV.
Provide regular reporting and insight into eCommerce performance overall and at key retailers, marketplaces and our own DTC site.
Manage and drive improvements to Russell Hendrix’s eCommerce P&L, including revenue, margin and expenses.
Develop and grow the Russell Hendrix eCommerce team to provide division of labor in support of ever-expanding channel success.
At least 7 years of successful experience building and growing a B2B eCommerce business via direct-to-customer (DTC) and 3rd party marketplace.
Capable of creating a strategic vision but also performing detailed activities day-to-day.
Minimum 7 years of experience building and managing a team in a fast, dynamic setting.
Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure to set and achieve challenging goals.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to present and communicate effectively at an executive level.
Demonstrated ability to lead and participate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to analyze 1st and 3rd party data to improve decision making and business outcomes.
BA in business, marketing or related field.
