POSITION SUMMARY

Bright Lights Psychology Clinic is seeking a School and/or Clinical Psychologist to enhance our capacity to provide psychological services to a range of clinical programs that serve children and youth within a multi-disciplinary framework and scientist-practitioner model. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, translate results to incorporate into treatment plans; and provide case consultation to academic intervention teams. Competencies include knowledge and experience providing assessment and consultation for young children (0-6),
children/youth with externalizing behaviours, child/youth trauma, learning disabilities, ASD, language disorders, and intellectual disorders.

Experience administering the ADOS is considered an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Accepts and works within the mission, vision, framework, and goals of Bright Lights Psychology
Clinic.
 Provide psychological assessments, including administering and interpreting psychometric
measures used for children/youth and the ability to produce detailed recommendations and
comprehensive reports
 Provide interpretation of psychological or psychometric findings and communicate diagnoses to
clients, parents, clinical staff and community professionals as required.
 Work effectively as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team to provide the psychology lens in
case and program consultation.
 Knowledge and experience with evidenced-based/ evidence-informed therapeutic interventions
 Participate in case conference meetings to inform, assess and provide consultation for treatment
 Participate in peer consultation with Psychology team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 Doctoral Degree in Psychology from a recognized University and registration or eligibility for
registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
 Excellent analytical and flexible problem-solving abilities
 Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
 High level of computer proficiency
 Sound knowledge of relevant legislation
