We are The VSCAN Veterinary Neurology, Imaging, Neurosurgery and Anesthesia Service – a busy, fast-paced clinic specializing in advanced imaging (MRI and CT) and neurosurgery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a member of the VSCAN team, you will work closely with our medical team to:

Provide excellent service and compassionate support to our clients through receptionist tasks such as: answering a multi-line phone system, greeting and assisting clients, booking appointments, working with pet insurance companies, following-up with clients after procedures, keeping patient medical files up-to-date, preparing discharge documents, and communicating with Doctors and teams from referring veterinary clinics/hospitals.

Who are you?

  • has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service/client care
  • has a passion for animals and their well-being, and an understanding of the unique place that pets hold in people’s lives
  • communicates professionally at all times and maintain composure in challenging situations
  • works effectively as a team member and actively participates in problem- solving and moving the team forward - desire to be a part of a strong team
  • shows empathy and compassion to clients and patients
  • reinforces the bond that we have with both Doctors and teams from referring veterinary clinics/hospitals and our shared clients through professional, warm communication via phone and email
  • ability to work beyond schedule when needed
  • strong computer skills
  • well-organized with strong multi-tasking skills
  • takes pride in attention to detail approach
  • interested in continuous learning

Preferred/ Desired Qualifications:

  • previous "animal-related" experience
  • learns new software programs quickly – we use Avimark Veterinary software
  • fluency in English, French and/or other languages would be an asset
