About the position:
Currently, we are seeking an experienced, professional and driven Operations Manager for our Security & Healthcare Technology team, based in Burnaby, BC.
This position would require the chosen candidate to relocate to Lower Mainland, British Columbia, before commencing work.
Reporting to the Director, Technologies, the successful candidate will manage the Pursuit, Estimating and Project Management team members delivering building security and healthcare technology solutions across BC.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high performing Security & Healthcare Technology team through Pursuit, Estimating and Project Management including Change Order management and Service handover

Manage, coach, and conduct performance management reviews of staff

Provide leadership on strategy, best practices, negotiation, and customer service

Respond to operational escalations on pursuits and projects with a solution focused approach

Monthly reviews of active jobs with project managers

Accountability for financial performance in relation to pursuit, estimating and project management

Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

Work closely with other leaders in the Security & Healthcare Technology Division to foster collaboration and alignment

Support the BD and Sales team as needed
Operations Manager Qualifications:
-
5 + years managing a high performing team in a similar environment

5 + year managing business and project financials, preferably with experience in project accounting

Industry experience and knowledge of Security (access control, CCTV and intrusion detection) and Healthcare Technology (nurse call, RTLS, systems integrations) required
- PMP, IMIT, Security, healthcare Technology and/or Engineering qualifications coupled with relevant working experience, required

Good understanding of security and healthcare industry and technology trends
- Familiarity with product lines such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, and/or Ascom preferred

Superior communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Excellent Project Management skills

Sound judgment managing pursuit strategy
- Must be highly skilled in problem recognition and resolution
