The Production Test Software Developer, uses his creative and technical talents to develop effective, structured and cost-effective testing and assembly strategies. The candidate will be part of the Production/NPI team, working closely with the R&D team and our contract manufacturers. Among other things, the candidate will develop applications to test electronic boards, exert electrical signals to detect manufacturing errors, and develop applications that will simplify our operators’ life in their everyday tasks. Our custom testing infrastructure is composed of several components ranging from embedded testing services and test stations to our production management tool developed in Microsoft Azure. The candidate will also analyse the collected data and propose ways to improve our processes to improve production line yields.

A position on this team represents a unique opportunity to concretely participate in the manufacture and development of license plate recognition systems used daily by municipalities and law enforcement agencies.

Responsibilities:What your day will look like:
  • Design, develop, deploy and maintain electronics test jigs software
  • Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
  • Assist colleagues with the NPI process
  • Assist the Test Engineer with the redaction of the testing procedures
  • Develop and maintain our Manufacturing Cloud services
  • Analyse large manufacturing Data Sets to identify potential process issues
Requirements:About you:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Bilingual (English, French)
  • Capable of working autonomously and in a small team
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience with C# and .NET framework
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, TFS and/or GIT)
  • Experience in database management
Assets:
  • Experience with Electronics manufacturing
  • Experience with Electronics debugging and schematics reading
  • Experience with Business Intelligence or Data set analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies such as Web Services, SQL Server, Active Directory
  • Experience with Networking Fundamentals (TCP / IP, UDP, Physical layers)
  • Experience with development under Linux and Windows embedded environments
  • Knowledge of test equipment (Function Generator, Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Windows front-end development technologies such as WPF & XAML
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, Ajax & Angular
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash and Batch scripting
