Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Under the responsibility of the Head OTC Desk, The FX/OTC Trader, will be part of the Trading Team, and will share responsibilities for trading OTC derivatives across various asset classes like FX, Rates and Equities as well as providing support to listed derivatives trading and cash instruments trading when needed. You will work closely with the counterparties and participate in their evaluation process. You will follow global markets news to provide market intelligence the PMs or Head Trader.

In addition, you will work closely with the Back & Middle office teams to help resolve any issue related to trading desk. You will be actively involved in CAM’s best execution process. Additional accountabilities: support governance and regulatory controls and requirements, act as a subject matter expert in regards to questions coming from Servicing groups or clients.

You have a degree/diploma. You have a university education in Sciences/Finance or Economy. Strong programming skills (Matlab, Python, etc.) is a plus. Y ou possess excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) to drive automation of processes using excel spreadsheets, formulas, macros, etc.
You have experience working in cross—functional teams. You have at least 7 years of strong experience in a large organization trading FX and OTC derivatives instruments. Knowledge of internal CIBC Asset Management processes is an asset.
