Why this role is important?

We are hiring a Director, Digital and Connected Care . Reporting to the Sr. Director, Connected Care , the Director is responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to leverage digital and physical assets across the Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart enterprise.

The Director will work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership across the enterprise to build out, analyze and prioritize innovative strategies, roadmaps and execution plans. The Director will also work closely with our pharmacy, healthcare and technology leads as well as Loblaw Digital, QHR Technologies, operations, information technology, professional affairs and other cross-enterprise teams, to gain alignment and advance strategic priorities. This includes ongoing evolution and adoption of our digital pharmacy and other digital offerings.

What You'll Do:
Support senior leaders in the development of strategic plans and roadmaps to guide digital and connected care investments
Lead efforts to develop and gain alignment among cross-enterprise stakeholders to design and implement collaborative priorities and technical product roadmaps
Demonstrate thought leadership in identifying frameworks and opportunities to improve our customer and pharmacy team omni-channel capabilities and overall experience
Lead day-to-day coordination of large cross-functional, enterprise wide projects and initiatives, resolving issues as needed
Gain working understanding of underlying technology platforms and functionality
Develop and refine use cases, opportunity assessments, financial models and other related business planning material
Collect and analyze data to support strategies and decision-making
Make strategic and operational decisions based on complex data and information
Use superior power point and written communication skills to create presentations which captivate senior leadership, cross-functional team members and potential partners
Participate in the analysis surrounding strategic business initiatives
Support the execution and project management of new initiatives
Become the subject matter expert in new areas of healthcare innovation, as well as relevant regulatory and industry developments

What You'll Need:
University degree with a concentration in Business, Technology and / or Health Sciences, preferred
7+ years’ experience in strategic planning and execution
Strong background in indirect influence, partnerships, business strategy and execution are required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent power point skills
Excellent excel skills
Must be able to develop business cases with accompanying investment metric models
Must be able to work with complex data sets to form analytic and reporting solutions
Ability to be proactive on deliverables
Ability to work within a dynamic rapidly growing and evolving environment
Ability to work with cross-functional departments to achieve business goals
Ability to support collaboration and negotiation with internal and external partners
Ability to understand healthcare regulatory frameworks and healthcare ecosystem
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

Greater than 7 years, with knowledge that may include pharmacy/healthcare/business/technology

Education

Post-secondary education in pharmacy/healthcare/business/technology
