Mainland Ford is currently seeking a full-time Warranty Clerk with Ford experience to join their Service Department.

About the Role

The Warranty Administrator supports the Service Department in reviewing and submitting all warranty claims efficiently to ensure a high level of claim acceptance and warranty compliance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit all warranty claims within the guidelines of Ford Canada
  • Achieve high percentage of claims paid first time submitted
  • Maintain claims schedule with few outstanding claims
  • Analyze claims denied by the manufacturer and, if applicable resubmit as soon as possible or obtain authorization
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and schedules on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Maintain complete and accurate warranty records
  • Assist and support team members with warranty compliance and processes as necessary
  • Remain abreast on manufacturer’s or supplier’s criteria when pertaining to warranty compliance
  • Follow up on claims to obtain prompt payment
  • Ensure all codes, operations, parts and sublet charges are accurate
  • Verify history, mileage and in service date of vehicles prior to claim submission
  • Maintain knowledge base on claim procedures, bulletins and campaigns
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Warranty Clerk within a Ford Automotive Dealership
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with fluency in English
  • Maintain positive, professional working relationship with Ford Representatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Superior customer service skills with the desire to exceed expectations
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office applications, Outlook, Dealer Socket
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
