Who We Are
The TD CPA Pre-Approved Associate Program is designed to attract, develop and retain top talent and build a leadership pipeline within the Internal Audit Division.
Each CPA Associate will have the opportunity to rotate through various Internal Audit teams and Finance functions in order to develop CPA competencies, expand their network and gain understanding of some groups within TD Finance.
The TD CPA Pre-Approved Associate Program is a 30-month program consisting of rotations as follows:
Internal Audit (2x 9-month rotations) – See the bank from the “third line of defense” perspective and deliver high quality assurance services to our diverse internal audit clients. Internal Audit Groups could include teams such as: TD Securities Audit, Retail Audit, IT Audit, Wealth Audit, and Finance Audit.[LA1]
AND ONE OF
Finance (1x 12-month rotation) – Gain experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting in our Wealth Finance team.[LA2]
Chief Accountant’s (1x 12-month rotation) – Gain exposure to the world of financial reporting and implementation of accounting policies in the organization.
CPA Associates will receive:
In class training as well as on the job experience
Exam and Module fees related to the CPA PEP program
External training preparation for the CFE
Regular feedback and support from the Program Manager and CPA Mentors
Performance assessment and coaching for each rotation
Upon successful completion of rotations, CPA Associates will be fully prepared to move into a full-time role in Internal Audit.
Use your strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to add value to each assignment and/or engagement you are assigned;
Interact with other CPA Associates to share learning and network within the organization;
Demonstrate initiative and interest in self-development and learning through rotations;
Be flexible and adaptable in changing environments and expectations;
Be able to multitask and prioritize competing priorities;
Apply audit, accounting and finance principles to perform internal audit engagements, research and implementation projects for Chief Accountant's, and complete finance duties; and
Define opportunities for continued enhancements to business processes and make recommendations within assigned area of responsibility.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities, qualitative and quantitative; can see the “big picture” in a complex environment;
Demonstrated leadership through volunteer activities and community involvement;

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask through previous work experience; Microsoft Office Suite
Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
Undergraduate degree with all required courses for entry into CPA PEP program (by the start date in September 2021); and
Meets CPA PEP entry grade requirements, as outlined by CPA Ontario (see CPA Ontario website).
