General Job Description

Position Summary: The Spa Receptionist will provide efficient and courteous guest service to each guest according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team for the satisfaction of all internal and external guests.

Key Accountabilities:
Have knowledge of all the spas services and products.
Provide facilities tour and instructions for all guests of the spa (i.e.: go over locker room, pool area etiquette, as well as Guest lounge and complimentary snacks and drinks provided.)
Be attentive to Guest needs and concerns
Achieve Guest satisfaction by responding to and anticipating Guests needs ensuring all Guest comments and complaints are acted upon in accordance with Spa policy.
Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels as required for retail sales.
Stocking and cleaning as assigned by management and leadership team.
Uphold privacy and confidentiality policy as set out for you.
Responsible for retail sales of spa products within targets set out for you by spa management.
Strategic up selling of spa services and products.
Lifting may be required up to and including 20lbs.
Attend meetings and training and recognize the importance of contributing new ideas and initiative to the overall success of the business.
Foster a spirit of teamwork.
Accurate handling of cash, credit card and debit transactions
Balancing of shift cash reports
All other duties as assigned

Education and Qualification Requirements:
Prior Spa/Hotel Resort experience is preferred
Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills in both official languages an asset.
Creative and high energy disposition
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with colleagues and professional business relationships
Ability to develop new client base
Available to work flexible hours
Must possess a sales driven attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and detail oriented work ethic, with the ability to multi-task
Extraordinary client service skills
Strong communications and presentation skills
Minimum 2 years experience in some combination of spa, hospitality
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access) required
Bilingualism (French and English) is necessary

Work Environment Considerations:
Sit and stand for long periods of time
Able to work in a scented environment
Must be willing to work weekends and shift work
Willing to submit a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position, and/or obtain and maintain an NBLGC license registration
Must have employment eligibility in Canada
Must be 19 years of age or older
