As a Portfolio Research Manager you will be a driving force behind our market expansion and growth strategy. You will manage a small team and work collaboratively with our business development, strategy, and business leaders. You will design and execute research to expand our markets and identify new areas of growth.

As a Portfolio Research Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the provision of strategic insight to our business leaders. You are conversant in quantitative research design, with experience managing key market research projects from start to finish. Our ideal candidate is an innovative thinker possessing both drive and intelligence, with a passion for matching science with insight to provide actionable research solutions.

You Will

Develop & analyze market profiles and overviews
Conduct competitor and industry researching, analysis and modelling
Manage and mentor a group of research interns and analysts
Develop research tactics and frameworks to collect key market trends
Identify qualified prospects that fit our investment profile
Conduct foundational research to establish benchmarks
Identify opportunities for improving processes and structures
Proactively turn open questions and curiosities into formal research plans using appropriate methods to gain meaningful insights.
Share research results across the organization
Translate business goals into research questions and plans.
Interpret trends and patterns to develop rational forecasting

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in an analytical or research role
A portfolio of your previous work showing how your research influenced decision making and examples of qualitative and quantitative methods used to affect outcome
Experience managing analysts or research team
You can communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling ways
Deep understanding of the nuances of different methods and how best to combine them to meet research objectives
Strong oral and written communication skills a must.
Degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Social Sciences or other data/research related field
Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to balance conflicting priorities to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects and meet deadlines
Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Programs, particularly Excel and Power Point, Outlook and ability to quickly adapt to new technology and easily acquire new technical skills
