We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager/Estimator to join our team. If you have had previous experience in wood-frame and commercial construction project management, have strong organizational skills, are self-motivated, detail-oriented and driven, then this opportunity could be a perfect fit for you!

Experience in complex structures, scheduling and managing techniques is essential for this position. Our successful candidate needs to possess a detailed knowledge of every aspect of a construction project or adequate back-up resources.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, review and evaluate preliminary cost estimates
  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
  • Prepare estimates in detail for all products
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Understand scope of work to bid
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
  • Prepare cost analysis
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Complete various project management responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications Include:

  • 3+ years’ experience in construction estimating and/or project management
  • Degree in Construction Management, Applied Science, Engineering or related field a definite asset
  • Ability to read all discipline construction plans and develop cost estimates
  • Strong understanding of multifamily and commercial construction processes
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Project and Excel
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills
  • A proven history of working with a fast moving, highly professional, multi-disciplined team
