The Coordinator, Fleet Maintenance will work to provide various levels of support to trucking operations, including supporting fleet maintenance operations. This role will be responsible for supporting the road-call requirements of the fleet, including active and on-call equipment triage in compliance with company practices and policies. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in learning and growing within the organization, as we value the importance of internally developing our staff.


  • Must work Monday to Friday - From 10:00Am to 7:00PM
  • Maintain Inventory
  • Know how to order parts timely and efficiently
  • Data Entry of the service and repair calls, parts and inventory and etc.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance record
  • Dispatch work to mechanics
  • Handle break down service calls over the road
  • Coordinate equipment needs with operations


  • Work directly with drivers to provide information and respond to regular equipment repair and maintenance requirements - support road-call requirements of the fleet in all operating areas
  • Assist with regular data entry requirements for service-related reporting management
  • Assist with management of equipment defects and compliance matters and input entries as necessary to track deficiencies
  • Assist, as requested, with driver orientation and training, including satellite and e-log training
  • Manage equipment data entry and updates to various computer systems using multiple software platform
  • Responsible for after-hours communication with drivers for equipment triage and support
  • Support Safety and Compliance driver assessment practices, including, but not limited to, completing road testing evaluations
  • Work directly with the fleet drivers to provide information and respond to regular trucks / equipment's repair and maintenance
  • Assist with equipment licensing and documentation or identification assignments, including coordinating branding requirements
  • Review and assign equipment manuals and compile, as requested, all associated materials to be assigned
  • Communicate with and troubleshoot issues using satellite tracking and communication system
  • Maintain Inventory / Place orders for parts to support mechanical staff.
  • Respond to various inquiries and requests via phone and email daily, communicating with internal employees at multiple facilities and external business or service partners
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


  • Successful completion of High School Diploma
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience working within the transportation industry, with knowledge of associated laws and regulations, would be considered an asset for this role
  • Ability to present information with confidence to varying audience(s)
  • Proficient with the use of a computer, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with AS400 and MIR software would be considered an asset
  • Must have a strong mechanical knowledge on for e.g. tires, air brakes, engine, faulty codes, air suspension, major and minor defects
  • Experience working with Shaw Tracking/ Qualcomm/ PeopleNet satellite software and equipment would be considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as a member of a team
  • Proven experience dissecting information in all forms and compiling data to allow for efficiency analysis
  • At times, work independently to complete assignments as necessary, thinking forward and identifying opportunities for process automation when possible
  • Strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage all assigned work requirement
  • Possession of valid AZ class driving license with clean driver abstract would be considered an asset to fulfill the requirements associated with this role
  • Minimum Experience 2 years within the transport industry
