Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Improvement Services, the Senior Business Analyst, Industrial Business Improvement Services is responsible for bridging the gaps between business and technology by aligning project partners and translating business needs into robust solutions. They are directly responsible for process analysis, and developing digital solutions that improve performance efficiency. This role requires high emotional maturity, hands-on analysis with excellent customer service and communication skills to develop positive relationships with clients, solution architects, developers, and external partners.

This position is primarily for our Coal Business Unit with up to 40% for our other Business Units. Majority of travel will be to our Elk Valley operations with approximately 20% of travel to operations outside of the Elk Valley.
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Collaborate with internal clients to understand business challenges and opportunities, and develop digital solutions
Coordinate with other multi-functional teams to drive alignment on project achievements by setting clear expectations
Liaison with external partners, to manage Proof-of-Concept, validate data, and gather feedback
Initiate projects, manage resources, drive resolutions, and hold self and team accountable for results
Guide industrial business processes and formulate system scope relative to enterprise wide digital transformation initiatives
Deliver solutions with a demeanor of scalability, standardization, and sustainment of solutions, business processes, and data quality
Build effective training programs and coordinate training and support to clients with varied technical backgrounds
Create detailed specifications including process workflow maps
Assist in creating effective presentations that are able to clearly communicate business objectives, processes, solution roadmaps, and technology blueprints
Undergraduate degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Engineering, or a technical diploma with a combination of related experience
Minimum five years of progressively senior level experience in delivering solutions and relevant consultative business analysis
Experience with Industrial Internet of Things, Computerized Maintenance Management System, and Industrial Maintenance Operations, with focus on Reliability Centered Maintenance principles and Condition Based Monitoring systems is preferred
Experience with modern analytical tools such as Tableau, Looker, Spotfire, or Power BI is an asset
Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Lifecycle in a distributed team environment
Understanding of Cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Azure is an asset
Problem solver with excellent business analysis, project management, and change management skills
Ability to learn new business domains quickly and coordinate technical resources
Outstanding facilitation and communication skills
Ability to travel to North and South America
Working level Spanish is an asset
